24 hours (2/2)

listening to eminem's 'When I'm Gone'...

So after my last paper on Friday, I went home for a quick change before hitting the road again.
Orchard Road in December is a nightmare for drivers. The lights this year were dazzling, but pity I couldn't enjoy them. Too much traffic, too many people.

Post event dinner was at Kuriya Jap restaurant located in Shaw Centre.
When I stepped out of the lift, the small crowd of 'international fans' raised their heads. Upon realising that it was just boring old Kay, they went back to their silent vigil. These people are peculiar coz they're Singapore's very own paparazzi. They shadow every overseas celebrities who happen to be in Singapore, and take photos of them. According to some publicists, these International Fans aka IF possess bad manners too. I've encountered some of them several times (not like they were following me ! They were stalking the artistes), but found them to be okay. Just weird and slightly rude.

Was polishing off the lovely sashimi when Bro called to ask if I was going to Ministry of Sound. Consulted the rest of the team, and we decided to be anti-social. Since the whole world was going to MOS, we'd stick to Zouk. Throngs of masses are not our cup of tea.Told Bro to come over to pick up the invites (thanks to Rozz) as we had already been put on the guest list.

Our dept celebration at Winebar was a blast.
Eighty shots, a bottle of tequilla, glasses of LIT for five drinkers and two half-baked ones.
We came up with loads of crap toasts as excuses to binge: to our good healths, dept's increased ratings, the gals' everlasting beauty, the boys' charming looks, and that Kay may find a good man soon.

Bro hopped over to Winebar with his friends, slightly after midnight. It was odd to be clubbing with my kid brother, but was kinda fun. Too bad Sis was at home watching her Korean drama, or it would have been an interesting siblings' outing. Us three plan to do it some time this week, since I'm on leave.

After Cindy, JF, YY and Garrick left, we went into Zouk for music, dance and more drinks.
Then at 4ish, I decided it was really time to go home. Fortunately Bro had tennis the next morning, so he didn't mind leaving. If he'd wanted to stay on, I'd probably snooze on the dance floor until he's done, before sending both of us back.
