I love meeting up with friends.
Which is what I've been doing recently. And that why the writing has dwindled.
Fortunately I have my trusty lil paperback journal with me 24/7.
Couldn't even recall what I did two weeks back!
Lemme see, there was:
1. Karen's Birthday Celebration
My nutty friend, who lives in her own world sometimes, celebrated another year on this earth.
Took her to Scotts Lounge @ Hyatt for the gorgeous chocolate fountain and the selection of tea.
I love the little glasses of prawn cocktail and the sandwiches too.
And the pretty strawberry cheesecakes... Ooh-la-la!
Jen and David came with Dawson in tow.
Little tyke ran about happily, snacking on fruits and bits of fingerfood before his mama stopped him.
Having a kid amidst the group somehow brought out the maternal instincts in Karen. Jen and I were amazed by how patient Karen was, with the little boy. Not that she's ever impatient towards us. We'd just never correlated Karen and the word 'mom'.
Then Jen started talking about having a second kid, and Karen mentioned a little about marriage. After a while, they started to turn their attentions on me.
Oops. That's cue to leave. Stage left. Exit.
