re-Cycle

listening to ronan keating's 'Iris'...
Oh I love this song. I like both Goo Goo Dolls and Keating's version.

~~~
I ran away from home again.
It was the only way I could force myself to run further. By putting the distance between me and the house, I had no choice but to complete the journey if I wanted to go home.
For someone who prefers ball games and team sports, running is a mental challenge. Each time I feel like giving up and start walking, I'll tell myself I shouldn't. When it gets too boring, I'll sing to myself. Last night I even tried composing haikus.
If running is just an exercise, cycling is a form of liberation. After the run, I went riding with my sister. It's been so long since we cycled together. Back in primary school, we used to do it daily with the other kids in the neighbourhood.
Peddling uphill was crazy. They didn't name this area 'Highland' for nothing. Huffing and puffing, you could feel the lactic acid build-up in your calves. Damn painful.
I love the downslope parts though. We thought we were going to fly off the bikes when we crossed the speed hump without slowing down. The moment the wheels landed safely on the tarmac ground, The Sister and I let out loud whooping laughs.
Ah ah ah ah ah!!! Such an adrenaline rush!
Newfound respect for competitive cyclists, as well as those ah peks on their huge black bicycles. Way to go, ah peks!
