listening to chris cornell's 'You Know My Name'...
Theme track from the new James Bond movie, Casino Royale.
1. Happy perks
Flipped through this week's 8-days with JF.
Our eyes nearly popped out when we saw the freebies local celebs receive from sponsors. Watches, bags, pens, clothes, yoga memberships (this one quite duh-uh), beauty products, and even a $200 000 diamond ring! While I was exclaiming over the pricey ring, JF spoke:
Hey! I use the same product as J Tay! Why don't they sponsor me instead?
Because we are nobodies? Stop dreaming, partner. Anyway, us Nobodies went to the Casino Royale media preview this morning at Vivo City. Then had lunch and shopped around a bit before going back to office. Ah... we're easily contented with small perks like these.
2. Witty gals
Told a joke on air and it was hilarious. JF and I were laughing non-stop even when the mics were off.
Kay: Wow! I am so witty today!
JF: Yeah! You're very witty today leh! But partner, don't say I never warn you. Guys don't like gals who tell funny jokes. You're supposed to laugh with them, not make them laugh.
Back at the work station with the rest, and I made some stupid comments that cracked them up. JF was laughing along with everyone else when suddenly he stopped and gasped in horror:
JF: Kay! Remember your new motto?! You're not supposed to make people laugh!
Shucks. That's hard. Okay, okay, I'll try to be dull and boring.
3. Sixty-one days before 2007
This year hasn't been too bad. I've accomplished quite a fair amount:
a) played tennis, cycled after years of not doing it, and took up golf recently.
b) helped out at my dear gang members' weddings.
c) attended so many weddings (Jen's, YH etc).
d) said bye bye to friends who went away to study *sob*
e) had my madcap birthday celebrations.
f) pole-danced. Pain. Enough said.
g) watched the World Cup.
h) betted on horses for the first time.
i) chucked out the ghosts in the cupboard.
j) landing the recording job with the LH airline
The list continues since 2006 hasn't ended yet. Things will get better.

disagree that guys don't like smart and witty girls. those who dont' can't handle them girls, and are not self-assured enough - so leave them eating dust girl, and spend your precious time on only those who are man enough. ;p
