listening to leona lewis' 'Happy'...
~~~
Less than five days before we bid farewell to 2009.
Wow.
Christmas came and left. I had a smashing time celebrating the occasion with colleagues, friends and family. Lots of presents. Roaring good time. Ate too much. Drank even more. Exchanged ridiculous gifts like Tiger Balm, a blow-up male stripper and cold hard cash. One of the nights, fourteen of us (including a dog) polished off twelve bottles of wine.
After basking in the holiday bliss, I went to clinic over the weekend. Instead of just helping out, I was learning to treat. Back to reality when you see patients suffering from cancer and other critical illnesses. You start thinking about how their lives, their families' lives are affected. You start imagining such things happening to yourself. Hypochondriac in the making.
So one of my Christmas wish is for the sick to get well. I'm not noble. I'm just easily depressed. I prefer my world to be perpetually filled with rainbows and daisies. Here's wishing everyone good health for the new year...
