What's in your name?

Listening to guo meimei's 'Lao Shu Ai Da Mi'...

What a name! New local singer, with a very localised moniker.
JF and I have decided that her dialect name should be something like:

a) Quek Bee Bee, or
b) Kuek Muay Muay.

I'm glad Dad and Mom didn't try anything overly imaginative, and saddle me with some labels that I'd hate for the rest of my life.
With my prosperous-sounding surname, I might be been called:

1. Very Heng
2. Si-Bay Heng
3. I-Am Heng
4. Lucky Heng

For anyone who chanced upon my blog, and has no frigging idea what I'm talking about. 'heng' means lucky in Teochew/ Hokkien.

Anyway, gotta give it to my Uni mate Adrian Koh, whose mind worked fast enough to come up with alternatives for me.
I get to choose between 'De Kay' (decay) and 'De Kae-In' (decaying).
Bravo!!! Please call me 'Very-Lucky-Fermenting-Compost'...

Received link from fren just now. Quite cute.
In the Land of Manga and Weird Vending Machine, my name evokes images of flowing river and everlasting beauty.
Go try it and tell me what's yours. I promise not to laugh.

My japanese name is 長谷川 Hasegawa (long valley river) 久美子 Kumiko (eternal beautiful child).
