Food #1

listening to fish leong's 'Ting Bu Dao'...

Attended the media launch of Food Festival 2005 at Bugis last week.
We feasted on the titillating dishes prepared by the participating vendors, and I particularly enjoyed the duck floss prata. It wasn't anything fanciful, in fact I can replicate it at home.
Frozen prata, beaten eggs with seasonings, duck floss (may be substituted with other animals' flossss), and lup-cheongs.
For the gan-tang people out there, lup-cheongs are chinese sausages.

Had a hectic time yesterday as well. Visited a couple of eateries to taste their crabs for a food related capsule production.
Kim's Place @ Joo Chiat Place served the most delightful fusion cheese crab ever! I adore the flavourful sticky yum yum gravy!!! Like pizza, with hints of seafood taste. Just kept scooping it up. The XO aka X-tra Oyster fried Hokkien mee was to die for as well. Especially when I'm a fan of oyster omelette and hokkien mee, this was a combi of my favourite local dishes.

Ahhh... All in the name of work. Sometimes I just LURVE my job.

Food Festival is interesting. Different themes at various venues. Basically food is an essential element in every Singaporean's life.

Kim's near the new Haig Girls' premise at Joo Chiat Place.
