Tick Tock, Bio Clock

listening to fort minor's 'Believe Me'...

What's the difference between the two pictures above?
Not much, except for the children.
One's a homo sapien, the other's a plant.

Met up with Jen and Karen for dim sum brunch on Sunday after my tennis session.
Wonders never cease. I was actually the earliest!
Jen had to feed the baby, prepare milk bottle and stuff for Dawson before she left the house. As for Karen, she had overslept coz she was at Zouk for Digweed till 6am, and only hit the pillows at eight in the morning.
Compare and contrast the lifestyles of the Swinging Single Bachelorette against the Loving Doting Mom.

While I was stuffing my face with the siew-mais and har-gows, Jen was busy cutting fruits into bite-size bits for Dawson. When Karen and I were chatting about club escapades and hangovers, Jen and hubby were discussing about Dawson's recent fall.

Looking at Jen take care of her kid filled me with a sense of amazement. Motherhood suits her, and she's completely devoted to her little boy.
This was the gal who set many guys' hearts aflutter back in college, with her sweety-pie behaviour and girlish giggles. We were always teasing her about the numerous boys who were dying to send her home.

Sunday's gathering didn't set my biological clock ticking.
In fact, I've never been more confused.
I love kids, and used to want my own. Now, I don't think I'm ready for them. At least not yet. Not when I'm still enjoying my singlehood.
Playing with my godsons, babysitting them, and buying them gifts is enjoyable. I can do that quite well. However if they start throwing tantrums or get irritable, I've a choice of fading into the background and leaving the dirty work to their parents.

I know of at least one pregnant lady who reads this blog. San-d, you have my respect :)

Kay's kids? In time to come, probably.
But at this moment, I'm happily contented with my godsons, Justin and Jordan, as well as my babies, Rosie and Zappy.
