Trivial Prattle #3

listening to gigi leung's 'Pian Jian'...
This is one of my favourite songs from her, with its mellifluous tune and meaningful lyrics. Shall attempt it at the next karaoke session.
Didn't have a good impression of Gigi Leung previously coz of the Maggie Siu and Ekin love triangle saga. But it was never my business, wasn't it?

What a wonderful weekend!

#Car lovers of the world unite
Went for a Suzuki car gathering at Turf City on Friday.
It didn't turn out as tacky as I thought it would be. Thank God!
People were friendly, though Cindy thought some of the girls appeared less pleased to see us. Territorial behaviour.
It's okay, ladies, I'm nice and harmless, and I'm only there for my car.

Was interesting to see what could be done to Zappy in time to come.
Yes, Zappy is an Ah-Beng at heart.
Wait for my luminous blue dazzling light from the under carriage, and loud techno blasting from the stereos. Woohoo! You'll be bowled over by bad taste...

#Scarlet is the hotel, not the colour
Tennis session with Gwee at Bei's place, was as usual, a good workout. I think there's an improvment from the week before. Probably more used to Mr Guillie the Racket and his thick handle. My swing was better, although I still had the habit of not bending. Gwee was turning blue in the face from the constant reminders he'd to dish out.

Met Mags and LF at famous porridge place in Chinatown for dinner. BM joined us when we adjourned to Breeze @ Scarlet Hotel for drinks later.

We were seated at the comfy seats with the overhanging canopy. There was a Persian feel to the whole experience. If only they had reclining couches, I'd have felt like Cleopatra.
Service was as attentive as before, from the tiniest details like ensuring the nut bowl was full and that we had sufficient ice water. Nice :)

BM filled us in with her story of The Proposal. Getting married is really a hazardous event. Too many details to pay attention to, and too many choices. I think I'll choose to elope next time. Mags started telling us about her flying stories, and other airborne urban legends. It was heartening to discover that my friend hadn't morphed into those infamous crew horrors . She's pretty much the same wacky, simple person.

It was enjoyable to see them gals again.
Mags has always been busy with flying, while LF was based in China for the past few months. We're just waiting for Clarissa to return, then we can have another proper meet-up with the whole troop.

#Brunch/ lunch/ tea rolled into one
Sunday was good. Details coming soon.
