listening to queen's 'Born To Love You'...
Good ole Murphy and his law of 'whatever can go wrong, will go wrong'. Fortunately I'm Miss Optimist, so it doesn't really kill me.
1. Friday
Bored with the usual Friday watering holes, we decided to drive to East Coast to check out new place. Found it to be closed. Possibly wound up.
We didn't think much about it since we had a contigency plan, which was to go blading. Off we moved towards McDs.
However, who would have expected it to start raining cats and dogs? Visibility was low and there were so many fallen tree branches. Ended up bumping into Seb and drinking teh tarik in Siglap.
So much for spontaneous wild ideas.
2. Sunday
Off to attend a wedding lunch at the Regent later.
Haven't settled on attire and discovered that my right eye has chosen today to act up.
Half an hour ago, I looked like a battered wife, with a red and swollen peeper.
After two ice cubes and lots of involuntary tears, I look like a battered wife on her road to recovery, with a slightly red and swollen eye.

By the way, I'm currently an unofficial Queen/ Freddy Mercury groupie.
Caught Mercury Rising at DBS Arts Centre last night.
The sound system and sets were nothing to rave about, but the singers were pretty good.
And I love the songs!
Somehow, most of us know the tunes, and can hum along to them.
Great pretender, Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Love of my Life etc.
However I've never really paid attention to Queen's lyrics until yesterday.
Love, humour, sarcasm can all be found in them. Very enlightening, very enjoyable.
By the way, have I mentioned that I love their songs?
