While my hair was being washed...

listening to pcd's 'Beep'...

Two and a half hours later, I walked out of the salon with silky tresses, a lilt in my walk and a hole in the pocket. Paid for both mine and Sister's visit. My love had splurged on a ridiculously expensive wallet for my pressie. This gift to her is only a drop in the ocean.

Each time I go to my hairdresser, I come out feeling way better than when I just step in.
For the next few hours, I'll mentally switch off from work and troubles, and indulge in pure unadulterated Personal Kay time. I can read, gossip, sleep or even contemplate life. Productivity in action.

~~~
While my hair was being washed today, I managed to:
1. browse through a few magazines.
Discovered a pretty FCUK dress in an old issue of Female magazine.
Also learnt from FHM that there's a self-declared micronation near Britain called Sealand. Total population rarely exceeds five. Ruler aka His Royal Highness collects clams for a living.
Final conclusion I drew, is that boys' mags have more entertaining articles than the girls'.
2. finish 'Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Demin'.
It's about the writer and his dysfunctional family. Only problem is that they are like everyone else. So normal and bland that they start to find abnormality in daily happenings.
There are hilarious parts in the book e.g. his neurotic ways and the Danes' interpretation of Xmas.
According to the book, Santa is a scrawny old fart with six black men as his elves. And on Christmas Eve, they'll either leave you a present in the stockings, or kidnap you in a sack and proceed to beat you senseless. It's a 50-50 percent chance of either case happening. Take a bet.
I was actually laughing aloud in front of the shampoo girl.
An interesting book that made me re-examine my life. I don't think it was meant to be reflective reading material, but heck, I reflected anyway.
3. churn out two Christmas wish lists.
My Practical-Possible wish list and My Incredible wish list.
More on them later.
