Sanity break

listening to rain's 'Sad Tango'...

Sis has been irritating the shit out of me by singing this song non-stop.
I could be in the shower when she would suddenly stand outside the bathroom and start warbling.

I lie on my bed, almost drifting into slumberland. She comes along, sits by my bed and whispers the lyrics into my ear.
Nevertheless, I have to give it to her for coming up with the oddest technique to annoy me. Cute, but ugh! It's in the genes. I'm quite a brilliant irritant myself.

Except for the Zappy incident, so far my leave has been wonderful.

Wednesday

Zipped by to Loof in my poor IZ ( read: issac. Acronym for Injured Zappy) but left after five minutes. They now have door people at the ground floor, and these ladies appeared rather aloof (pun intended). Don't like.
So off we went to Breeze, where the service is always impeccable and the drinks delicious.

Headed for Zouk at midnight. BW, Joey, Ben Papa and colleagues, Fred and friends were there already. We'd decided to revisit Mambo and terrorise the kids. Coincidentally, Baby Bro was there with his pals. He came over to say hi before going back into Phuture. He's such a dear polite boy. I love my siblings.

Music was a peculiar mix of retro, rock and house. Not bad but confusing. Fortunately, I had good company. There was this guy amongst the friends of friends, who looked like a short version of Korean actor Quan Xiang Yu. Both Joey and I thought he was cute, though too bad he swung the other way. Then again, it didn't matter coz he was a nice, friendly, charming chap.

Somehow Fred got to know a group of older folks, and after a long conversation, he turned around to warn Joey and me.

'You gals better learn to maintain yourselves like these women next time,' he advised.
They were mothers in their forties or late thirties, but looked not a day over twenty-five. Made us want to dig a hole to hide our ancient heads.

According to research, late nights accelerate the rate of aging. Collapsed into bed at four.

Thursday

Splendid afternoon at Sentosa.
We were wasting our lives away on the deck chairs at km8, drinking jugs of ice cold drinks and munching on golden fried mushrooms, bbq chicken wings.
There wasn't much sun, so I didn't manage to get my golden, chao-da tan. However, we were compensated with the cool sea breeze and comfortable shade. Sedated by the drinks and weather, I couldn't even be bothered with my book. Rested and dozed till dinner time.
Ah... this is how life should be.

Friday

Just came back from my run. Adrenaline rush. Woohoo.
The afternoon sun is freaking hot. Melanin production at its peak.
Perspiring like crazy.
I think I stink.
Fretting happily over what to do next.

Back to the grindstone on Tuesday. For the time being, I'm the happiest person on earth.

xw: yes, lil sisters are great.
anyway, have i told you about my family's warped reincarnation theory? in the next life (if there is):
1. i will be my mom's mother.
2. my mom will be my dad's mom.
3. my sister will be my elder sis.
4. my bro remains my dad's son.
thus, i will be my bro's gramma...

shine gal: i doubt u'll wanna sit on deck chairs in the freezing cold eh? haha!
