Saturday was a busy day too

listening to zhang dongliang's 'Tong Che Xin Fei'...

I woke up at 8 on Saturday after hitting the sack for four hours.
Meeting the rest for wakeboarding/ chill out session.

The sky was overcast as I rode in my Zappy towards the sea.
'Don't rain, don't rain, don't rain,' I chanted repeatedly in the car.
Uncle in the blue pickup truck next to Zappy looked slightly petrified.
So unlucky to see a siao char-bo (read: loony woman) talking to herself, he muttered, tonight sure cannot win 4D.
Too bad for him but fortunately for us. The incessant chanting worked.

It was such a good way to spend a Saturday morning.
Sun, sea, small talk, breeze, buddies, bee hoon (with compliments from XJ's mama. Thanks auntie!)...

Our instructor/ boat driver was a pretty cool dude, but I thought his mom was even more radical.
Apparently she's 69, but goes clubbing at Zouk, dances on the centre podium, and rings her son out for booze session. Imagine my mom doing that. Ha!

Simple steps for wakeboarding beginners:

To wakeboard, first you must get ready to go into the sea.

Then you submerge yourself in the salty water and wait for the boat to pull you up.

And off you go! First in the middle, where it's slightly calmer...

...then to the left. Throw in a few stunts if you wish to.

Finally, get out of the water to take a break.
While your friends get their turns, you perch comfortably on the boat and bake yourself brown.

This is life.
