listening to fort minor's 'Petrified'...
26 March 2006, Sunday
1. Attended uni mate YH's wedding lunch. Met up with friends whom I've never seen since we graduated from school.
2. Bride and groom looked lovely, with similar radiant smiles.
I love it when there are slight resemblances aka fu-qi-xiang between the couple, eg the smiles, the noses etc. To me, it's some sort of reassurance that the marriage will work out. I'm entitled to my warped way of thinking.
3. Groom was probably slightly nervous coz he was babbling non-stop. It's understandable coz you don't get married everyday.
4. Almost spat my food out in mirth when Adrian Koh told me to listen carefully to the wedding songs. I have to stress this point:
Dear soon-to-be-married friends/strangers reading Kay's blog,
Please choose your wedding songs with care.
Do not select some tracks just because you like them, or simply because they are romantic, popular ballads.
'Beauty and the Beast' is just so wrong...
Luv, Kay
5. Adrian was pissed off when the waitress spilt a whole glassful red wine down the back of his shirt. Poor girl was shocked by the incident, but fortunately for her, Koh didn't turn nasty. The management promised to dry clean his shirt, and Adrian reminded them not to put the charge on the couple's tab.
6. Met the bizcommers at Zara after the wedding. Somehow, my sunburnt chest managed to get their attention. Char was trying to clean out the entire Zara, so we left her in the changing room.
7. Off for some late afternoon wine sipping near Evans Lodge.
The pizza was delicious! Thin crust base, topped with chewy cheese and slices of mushrooms. Simple ingredients thus making it more difficult to mask lousy skills. Sausage platter and cheese platter weren't too bad, just slightly forgettable. Washed the food down with riesling and muscato. Mmm... heavenly.
Made plans for Desaru drive. I was in charge of bringing the walkie talkies. Then Lena and I talked about going down to East Coast later in evening for a run together.
8. Headed home and rested a bit before calling Lena. Silly girl didn't pick up the phone in time, so I went for my own one hour run. My timing had improved and it was something to be happy about. Wahaha...
