Best New Face: One of the new candidates, Teo Ser Luck, who had taken part in some manhunt contest in his earlier days.

I don't usually discuss serious issues in my frivolous little online journal.
Not because I'm apathetic, but simply because there are people who are better with words and possess more enlightening views.
This is how I end up trivialising politics.

The long awaited general election is coming! Woohoo.
Not that it's going to make much of a difference for me.
When I turned 21, everyone congratulated me coz I finally had voting rights. Being the freshman of adulthood, I was eagerly looking forward to the elections.
Alas! Several years later, I still have no idea what a polling card looks like (caught a glimpse on the the elections website). Maybe I'm really going to get a chance this year. *flurry of excitement*

Li Ao's criticism about Singaporeans and our stupidity had been the talk of the town recently. Read a couple of articles, blogs and forums that discussed the topic, and they were pretty insightful.
Much as we may want to lash out at his harsh words, in a twisted convoluted way, we have to thank him for forcing the general public to realise how Singaporeans appear to outsiders.
Hey, at least we are now discussing about whether we are dumb and if this name calling is justified, instead of 4D, the prices of COE and caixin per kg.
